I have been familiar with 10-4 Security for the past year. There are both good and bad things about them. The good things are that most of their guards dress appropriately and are seen doing their patrols. The bad is that a lot of them, especially the guys that drive around in the cars, are way too aggressive and end up making a small situation into something huge. For example, in the apartment complex I live at, I have seen the patrol guy approach a group of guys hanging out outside and immediately start yelling at them and making a scene instead of acting professionally and respectful. This happens a lot. I think it would be better if they would deescalate the problems rather than intensify them.
I have also got to know some of the guards that work here and they tell me that the company is actually not very good to them. This is probably true since we seem to have a different guard every month (assuming they quit).
Also, as a side note, I don't know why but I don't think I've ever seen a white or black security guard for their company, they are all Hispanic.
