Global Debt Management also operates under other names, including Freedom Debt Relief. DO NOT USE IT! After investing a couple of thousand dollars with them, I found out I could settle my debt with the company I owed for less by simply negotiating with the company itself. Freedom Debt promises to settle your debt, but you must pay out monthly which includes the cost of their services for many months. They do not begin negotiation with the company you owe UNTIL the debt goes to a collection agency. By this time your credit rating is ruined. I was rushed into signing up with them BEFORE another payment was due, which leads one to assume they want to begin negotiations a.s.a.p. Wrong. If you contact the ctedit card company and negotiate with them, your results financially will be much better.
