Gosch Ford sold me a 2006 F-150 at the end of Jan, 2010. This truck had less than 28000 miles I drove the truck to Maryland for a new job. About 1000 miles into the trip the engine started making noise. When I get to Maryland the first thing I do is go to a local ford dealer who says I need a new engine. To be sure I took it somewhere else and they confirmed that. I contact Gosch and they said they will pay for half the engine, 2950. I paid 16800 for the truck, drove it 1000 miles and the engine blows. I thought they would want to replace the whole thing. It took me a couple weeks to get the rest of the 5800 dollars raised, I called Gosch and they said they were going to pay for nothing. That if I wanted it fixed, I should bring it back to them. I guess they don't realize that from Maryland to California is a long way to push a truck with a blown engine. I feel they used this tactic to get out of paying a dime. Their warranty states that it should be done there at their dealership, but the operating manager can approve the work done somewhere else. They just wont approve it. I sent them documents proving the work needed to be done, but now that I am 3000 miles away, they think they are out of it.
I don't feel this is an ethical company. How would anyone feel if they paid 16800 for a truck, drove it 1000 miles and then had to spend 5800 for another engine. I know how I feel, and I think I know how gosch feels(a little richer, and smiling because they put it to me really hard). I hope karma comes around to them, and someone else can get the results any honest company would do without complaint. They should have just replaced the engine, or at least paid for half like they said they were going to.
