I ordered the Syma S006G Gyro Alloy Shark 3-Channel Remote Control RC Helicopter from the Hobby-Estore on 8/6/2010 since they had a good price and reasonable shipping charges. There was also an excellent video on the site showing the unpacking and start-up procedure for this very model.
The helicopter arrived 8/11/2011; a fantastic turn-around time.
The instruction were in a kind of Chinese inspired English, but not too difficult to understand, although some of the equipment did not match exactly what the instructions were describing. Also, there was only one Head Cover, although the video shows two being provided.
The real problem came after charging the battery and trying to start up the rotors. The lights came on, but there was no response on the helicopter to anything I did on the transmitter. This was a very disappointing introduction to this product and company. After over an hour trying everything I could think of I tried calling the company (Hobby-Estore) at the contact number provided on their web site during their regular business hours posted. The phone rang about ten times then a machine said there is no one to take your call, please call again later; click. There was no opportunity to leave a message.
I did leave an email message describing my problem at their site and I am hoping to hear back from them soon.
A quick internet search shows that they have a pretty good reputation. I understand that sometimes technical problems arise and I am hoping they will solve this problem satisfactorily. I look forward to writing a new review indicating my satisfaction that they have.
