Horrible and Rude Customer Service
Power Fence is the lowest price around but for discount you get terrible communication. I called the office more than 10 times and left messages and never got a call back until I owed them money. Scheduling the work was a nightmare as the Juan could not see more than 2 days out. I wanted a double-sided fence because it was the same price as the single side. When I got home from a business trip I had a single-sided fence. He said, that was written on the contract but it was not. It just said "BNB" for style on the contract, not being in the fence business I have no idea what that acronym stands for and I was told, to talk it over with my wife and we can pick the style before install. Now let's get to the inspection. I have a dog and pool so my gates are always locked for many reasons. I was told the inspection was going to be on Friday (Company pulled Permit). I was home at the house getting ready for work and did not know the inspector was at my house. He failed the fence because he could not gain access due to the locked gates and my dog barking (9:18 AM). Power fence then told me it was my fault the inspector could not gain access and I would have to pay the re-inspection fee of $100. By code it is the permit originator who has to provide access whether it is a call to me stating a time slot (10-12) or they will be at the property. I was sent a text stating if I want another inspection I would have to pay $100. The girl in the office called me and outright lied to me and said the inspector will not give a time but when I called the inspector he said that was incorrect and of course he would give a time slot especially having a dog and a pool. The girl at the office also told me, "How the heck was I supposed to know you had a dog?" Juan knew I had a dog and a pool because he was at my property multiple times before installation and quite frankly the office never picked up the phone or called me back after my messages, in fact the only time the office called me back within 8 weeks was to say I owe them $100 for a new inspection. At the end of the day the fence (not the one I wanted) was a better than average install, they needed power from my house, left tools on the job site, left sharp metal objects all over my pool decks, and used my garden hose without returning to to its proper place but those are things I could expect from the rock bottom fence price. The aggravation and customer service that went along with this project was one of the worst experiences in my 15 years in South Florida dealing with contractors. I would be embarrassed to recommend this company and it would have been worth my time and money to go with the middle contractor price that was $400 more.
