I did buy a condo through REDC in July 2009. While both reviewers have some details slightly incorrect, I can attest that the auctions do have a sleazy feel to them and that you certainly feel that price inflation is going on. No one forced me to buy the condo and I got it at a fair market price, but I experienced first hand how they manipulate the prices and think they should be invesigated for poor business practices. I probably could have gotten the same unit for half the price if they weren't playing their games.
Best I can say is know exactly what you are willing to pay and don't be afraid to say no. The number the auctioneer says is not necessarily the highest bid!
