WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
DON’T BUY FROM THIS GUY!!! They are a total rip-off. They sell crap machines and then ever answer their phones or return their emails!! I received my Macbook Pro and upon first use it says there is no sound device installed in the machine (i.e. no speakers). It was also very slow, it froze up continuously, and the trackpad was unresponsive. The machine also had large dents from being dropped, that created a gap between the shell and the insides that was large enough for things (dust, moisture, bugs, etc) to easily enter the machine. There were also some dead pixels and a 2” x 1/2” soft spot on the screen. I tried to contact Usedmac right away and after a number of unanswered/unreturned calls and several emails, I finally got an email response stating simply that it could be an operating system issue and I may need to upgrade”. I emailed them again to tell them that I had come across some other issues, including a line that keeps flickering down the screen as if it were cracked or otherwise damaged. After waiting for several days to get a response and having to email again, I finally get a response simply stating “send it back to replace the LCD”. I emailed them immediately to remind them that it was more than just the screen that had issues. I had no sound and the machine was slow/unresponsive and took very long to boot up. They never responded, so I emailed again reminding that I had choices when shopping and asking them not to make me regret my choice to buy from Usedmac. I also made it abundantly clear that this was a work machine and it was essential to running my business!. I again got a one line response to send it back to replace the LCD. I emailed AGAIN to make sure they knew it was more than the LCD and remind them I had little patience for their unprofessionalism. The responded that they would replace the laptop, so I sent the machine back to Usedmac and told him to make sure it was tested and in proper working order before sending it back to me. About three weeks later I get an email saying the machine had shipped. I emailed to ask for a tracking # and they tell me (3 days later) the machine will get sent “today”. about a week later, I get the machine back and only the screen had been replaced. I was still having ALL the same problems…There were no sound output/speakers detected, the machine was slow and freezing up constantly, couldn’t type anything as the typing would hang up, internet was super slow (I tested on other machines and it worked fine). The usedmac machine was slower and had more problems than the 2008 machine that it was replacing and was on its last leg. After another week of emailing (with no responses) to tell him the machine doesn’t work and this is damaging my business tremendously, he tells me to send it back again. I told him I would not send it back until he sent me a new working machine first. I even offered to pay for the second machine so he didn’t have to worry about me not returning the other machine. He agrees and I leave the country for 12 days, expecting to come home to a new laptop…but NOPE..nothing. I email and call again repeatedly but no answers and no responses. Another week goes by with no word from Usedmac. I email again and get a response that they ordered a new LCD for the new machine I asked them to send out but it’s back ordered and Apple can’t tell them when it will be in. I reluctantly agree to send the other laptop back so he can use the LCD from that machine to put in to the new machine, which he will send back to me overnight. 4 more unanswered emails (mind you this is 6 weeks after I asked him to charge me and send me a second computer). So several unanswered emails later, 2 separate emails for him telling me he’ll send it “today”, and 2 weeks after he received my computer back I still have nothing…so much for the promise to send it out the next day after receiving the old one back! I ask to send me a tracking number…2 emails and a week later I finally get a response, “I’ll overnight it today”. This is not 3 weeks since he received my computer back and 7/8weeks since I asked him to bill me and send me a new one. 3 days after he “overnighted” it, I receive the comp. One might think this is the end of my problems but nope! New comp has a HUGE dent in it from being dropped…so big you could stick a pencil in the gap between the case and the inside of the comp. But wait theres more, the machine is still slow and getting hung up, the internet would not work at all…even hardlined into the modem. But wait there’s even more yet, the screen just freezes and goes black (or it’s all pixelated or split screened) and it dies about every 5-30 minutes of use. Several unanswered emails later (I also call everytime, but I don’t know why he even has a phone because he never answers it) I finally get a response to send the computer back again and he will send me a newer model which hopefully will not have these problems. I email several more times with questions and again receive no responses…for a month!! I send the computer back anyway because I think maybe the model I bought was just a lemon year and a newer model might fix the problem. I email again to let them know I sent the machine back and they tell me they are closed for one week so they will process when they return.....thanks for mentioning that earlier! 3 weeks later I finally get my new computer and low and behold they didn’t send me the newer model they promised me (which is the only reason I sent the machine back rather than taking it to Apple or asking for a refund…or just throwing it in the garbage), they sent me the same piece of crap model I had all the problems with. When I emailed to tell him this, his response was simply, “We changed the laptop with nice looking one . So no more dent . “ Is he serious? He thinks this is acceptable?!! I responded to tell him I don’t care about a dent, I care about the computer working and not giving me more problems, but OF COURSE HE DID NOT RESPOND. I originally bought this machine in August of 2016. It is now April 2017 and this issue is still not resolved!! ...That's 9 months!!!! This is the worst buying experience I have ever had and Mike and Usedmac are the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. Mind blown and how terrible this has all been!! DO NOT BUY, DO NOT BUY, DO NOT BUY!! Any sacrifice you have to make to purchase a mac somewhere other than here is totally worth it. DO NOT BUY, DO NOT BUY, DO NOT BUY from USEDMAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
